Why not try this instead?
Grow 40 Brighton has recently relaunched with a new partnership and extended team behind it, as owner Steve Pineau joins forces with Food Director Phil Bartley of Great British Charcuterie and Hove Place to bring a new dining experience to the city.
Brighton’s biggest champagne bar
Steve Pineau has built a collection of over 150 champagnes over two years, focusing on small producers and unique varieties that are limited edition in the UK. Served by the glass from £9.00 and bottles from £49.00 up to thousands there will be a selection of champagne to suit every guest.
Locally sourced ingredients
With a key emphasis on the quality of ingredients, Phil has been working with the best local suppliers including Barfields Butchers and Moons Green Charcuterie. The fantastic local produce here in Sussex inspires Phil to bring something different to every element of the menu at Grow 40.
Brilliant Breakfast
With an earlier opening time of 9am, Grow 40 Brighton offers a menu focusing on our British breakfast favourites with a stylish french twist. Expect homemade smoked beans, rare breed sausages made exclusively for Grow 40 by Barfield Butchers and an espresso cured bacon to add a kick to your day.
Elegant lunch and dinner menus
The new lunch and dinner menus will change with the seasons championing produce from asparagus to pigeon. Welcome snacks are served on arrival including the dangerously addictive truffle, bacon and parmesan popcorn!
British-French fusion
The seasonally varying and locally sourced menu is British-French fusion, including dishes such as Ox Cheek Bourguignon. Wagyu steak features centrally on the menu whilst Phil is also working on a tasting board of the best Wagyu cuts in the UK which we can’t wait to try here at RB head quarters!
Food theatre
The dining experience at the 45 cover restaurant will be just as much focused on the delivery of the exquisite dishes. Phil’s team have curated a collection of serving dishes and crockery that will make the experience unique, when served to the table. From scallops and seaweed served under a smoke filled cloche, to consommé presented in a glass teapot, each serving is a unique experience, a feast for the eyes and pallet.
Tasting Menu at Grow 40 Brighton
Launched in the summer 2018, the new tasting menu at Grow 40 continues to spotlight top quality local and seasonal produce. Each of the eight or nine dishes are carefully prepared to take you through a journey of taste and flavours of exceptional beauty. Phil has also developed a full vegetarian complimentary tasting menu and is developing a full vegan one too.
To complete the fine dining experience the chefs and sommeliers of Grow 40 and L’Atelier du Vin have developed a wine and champagne pairing for the tasting menu from their 800+ strong wine list. A sommelier will be on hand during the sitting to discuss the fine wine offering, providing a dining experience of exceptional taste, service and quality.
