Progress and planning<\/h2>\n

Welcome to another edition of our weeknotes. No update last week as the bank holiday upset the rhythm. If you missed the previous update, you can read it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the last two weeks we have been able to start adding some more concrete elements to our conversations.<\/p>\n

The toolkit will comprise of two fundamental elements: a checklist that venues can follow and case studies.<\/p>\n

The work around the checklist is based on an existing checklist published by a project in Brazil and will be evolved to better meet the needs of the Brighton and Sussex based hospitality venues. The team working on the checklist have made a plan for how to refine and evaluate the checklist and how to publish it online in the most convenient way so that we can start sharing the work early.<\/p>\n

Separately, those working on the case studies have been able to formulate an approach which will allow us to create a template case study allowing us to test the approach as a first step. The case studies themselves will focus on the themes of people, planet and profit and the intention is to provide a written version and a video version. The team have discussed the need to cover a variety of elements from water, energy, and staff wellbeing to ethical choices and community. If you have any examples of case studies that you think are particularly useful and usable, please do share them with us.<\/p>\n

In the background, we are still refining our meeting rhythms, tools, and ways of working as it\u2019s a busy time for everyone.<\/p>\n
