Communicating your sustainability story<\/h2>\n

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made our first Sustainability Workshop a success!<\/span><\/p>\n

This workshop was planned as a follow-up to the roundtable we hosted in July. In July, we focused on how to make the most of the toolkit we had just launched<\/a>. This time, we took stock of what we\u2019ve achieved so far and looked ahead to what\u2019s next. A major focus was helping venues communicate their sustainability story effectively to their customers.<\/span><\/p>\n

What We Have Done<\/b><\/h3>\n

  1. Created a <\/span>Sustainability Toolkit<\/b><\/a> packed with case studies and useful links to help venues improve their sustainable practices.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Launched a <\/span>Sustainability Checklist<\/b><\/a> for venues to assess where they are on their sustainability journey.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Designed, printed, and distributed <\/span>window stickers<\/b> for venues that have completed the checklist, identifying them as a <\/span>Sustainability Explorer, Leader, or Champion<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Built a <\/span>Sustainable Restaurants page<\/b><\/a> featuring venues that have completed the checklist.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    At the time of writing, <\/span>32 venues<\/b> have completed the checklist and been added to the page.<\/span><\/p>\n

    What\u2019s Next<\/b><\/h3>\n

    Over the next six months, our priority is to <\/span>promote the Sustainable Restaurants page<\/b>, helping more customers discover these venues and their sustainability efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n

    At the workshop, we also had a lively and practical session led by <\/span>Robb Cunningham<\/b> from the University\u2019s <\/span>Clean Growth Platform<\/b><\/a>. We tackled two common challenges in sustainability communication:<\/span><\/p>\n
