Best cocktails brighton

The public voted guide to the best cocktail bars Brighton has to offer in 2023.

We are spoiled for choice with so many sparklingly good cocktail bars in Brighton and many of our best Brighton restaurants are in on the act too. Expectations are understandably high, and Brighton delivers, with everything from perfectly executed classics to seasonal hand-crafted stunners. And the winner of the BRAVO for Best Cocktails goes to – The Plotting Parlour.

Huge congratulations to the team for reclaiming the best cocktail bars Brighton BRAVO accolade, something which they first won in 2018.

First place

BRAVO to The Plotting Parlour for setting the standard for Best Cocktails in Brighton this year. Right in the heart of the city, but a little out of sight, arriving at this award-winning venue feels like an event. This feeling persists as you’re met by a host and led to your table. The word is out so it’s best to book. Then look forward to the most delicious signature creations and classic cocktails imaginable. Try a ‘Fear and Loathing’ or  ‘Ginger and Chili Margarita’ while you plot away with your lucky companions. All drinks are made with the best locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and highest quality spirits and liqueurs. There is also a selection of small plates to enjoy with your damn delicious drinks. Cocktail Bars Brighton – first place 2023.

Second place

You’ll have to ring a little bell to gain entry to this modern day speak-easy, then ascend the crooked, velvety stairs to the red-room glamour above. Right next to the Theatre Royal, the luxurious 1920s-styled Bar Valentino, feels drenched in history. If only the walls could talk! But the cocktail menu is as fresh as a daisy and a small selection of tasty snacks can be readily sent up from the wonderful Spanish restaurant Tino Taperia (Top 20 Best International and Best Team) below. It’s easy to get a good view of the bar if you enjoy the sight of the talented team at work and they’ll happily share their secrets with you if you fancy talking shop. Cocktail Bars Brighton – runner up 2023.

Third place

A Brighton institution, The Twisted Lemon has been serving up classic and ‘twisted’ cocktails for over a decade. Tucked away down its own bright yellow alley in the Brighton Lanes, this place has serious vibes, quirky style and lovingly created cocktails at a tantalising price. There is a simple bar menu and a gorgeous little courtyard garden for sipping cocktails in the sunshine. Hitting all the right notes, this place can get pretty busy on a weekend night. Brighton loves that scene and gives it a big BRAVO. Cocktail Bars Brighton – third place 2023.
