Ivanka’s Super Easy Bread Recipe

- 750 grams bread flour (50-50 plain white – wholemeal)
- 1 teaspoon dried yeast
- 2 teaspoons salt
- half a litre or 1 pint tepid water
Method – Step 1
Mix all the dry ingredients together using a spoon, then add the water. You need to add it slowly at the end and you may need to add some more. It’s important that there is no dry flour.
Cover with a damp tea towel and leave overnight. (Or until it has doubled in size)
Oil the bread tin (I try to keep one tin for bread and avoid washing it so that the bread doesn’t stick!)
With a wooden spoon, stir the dough until it is a smaller mass. Then pour it into the tin.
Place in a COLD oven, turn the oven on to 180°C and cook for 55 minutes.
Place on a cooling rack to cool and you’re done! It’s as easy as that! Enjoy warm with some butter, you could even have a go at making you’re own homemade jam or marmalade.
(If you want a very soft crust then wrap in a damp tea towel while it is cooling.)
