Job Overview
The Macs Farm is looking for a Seasonal Chef to join us at our beautiful farm in Ditchling
This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead in a busy, dynamic outdoor setting where no two days are the same. You’ll have the chance to run your own kitchen during service, shape menus, and lead a small team in delivering fresh, seasonal food in a stunning countryside environment. From vibrant one-off events to relaxed all-day dining, this role offers real variety, creativity, and responsibility — all within a supportive and friendly team atmosphere.
This role is ideal for a confident, adaptable cook who enjoys variety. We’re not looking for a rosette-level chef; instead, we’re seeking someone practical, organised, and comfortable producing good, honest food — whether that’s catering for high-energy events or delivering a simple, well-executed all-day dining menu.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy leading from the front, and want to be part of a growing farm-based food destination, we’d love to hear from you.

Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations

Ensure consistent quality of food served and monitor customer feedback for continuous improvement

Full-time hours from mid-May through to the end of August.
A small number of shifts may be available in early September for clean-down, feedback, and close-down support.
