Drifter will be a new concept for Brighton, based on the Tokyo jazz kissa bar or listening bar. laid back, relaxed + calm.
We will be offering a range of natural wines, bespoke cocktails and craft beer, complimenting our fresh seafood menu cooked in a wood burning oven.
Drifter will be welcoming to like-minded brands in music, hospitality, and design, a calm and inclusive space for all, focusing on incredible produce and celebrating people, places, and stories
This Role Includes
Responsibilities:
– Create a safe, welcoming and pleasant working environment for all staff
– Manage all staff training and development
– Working with management team to create a truly individual experience for our customers and partners
– Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, rota’s
– Manage and train all staff, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company policies
– Create and update drink menus, ensuring a diverse selection of beverages to meet customer preferences
– Monitor stock levels and place orders for supplies as needed
– Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the all areas, including equipment and storage areas
– Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
– Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner
– Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and drink service and menu delivery
Skills Required
Experience:
– Drifter will be as much a place for music lovers as well as food and drink, experience or passion for music is essential.
– Previous experience in a similar role, fresh small plates, preferably in a natural wine and cocktail establishment
– Strong knowledge of bartending techniques, drink recipes, and natural wine
– Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures
– Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Proven leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team
