SIX are looking for an Executive Head Chef to manage, operate and grow its’ kitchen team.

SIX is one of Brighton & Hove’s most popular venues, well established and about to celebrate its’ 4th Birthday. SIX is known for its’ highly popular brunch but we are looking to launch a new culinary chapter just in time for Christmas.

This Role Includes

Main Objectives:
– To manage the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen to ensure that the high standards and the company’s reputation is maintained and improved.
– Manage a kitchen team including Sous Chefs, CDP’s, Line Cooks & Kitchen Porters following company procedures including staff rota’s and holiday.
– To plan, prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by the company’s patrons.
– To ensure proper training is given to all working within the kitchen.
– To ensure stock levels are kept to appropriate levels for food production, carry out regular stock checks.
– Communicate with suppliers to ensure we are getting the possible products and prices available to us.
– To ensure Health & Safety and Food Safety standards are maintained within company policy.
– To set objectives and be responsible for day to day running of the kitchen, including supervision of the recruitment and selection process to ensure the venue’s needs are met.
– To guarantee all food that leaves the kitchen if of a high standard set by the company.
– To advance plan holidays and events such as Christmas, Easter, Valentines with Management and Head Office.
– To create new dishes seasonally using the best available suppliers and stockists in line with the company’s ethos and image.
