Overview

We are a rapidly growing hospitality business that is pushing for change within the industry, being a privately owned and fully independent operation aiming to create an environment where staff and their needs are as important as customers and their needs. We are looking for a chef, either a Junior Sous or Chef de Partie with a progressive view and the ambition to positively influence their environment for themselves and the team.

Currently, we operate two busy destination pubs in Sussex and have plans for future expansion. Both sites have a strong connection to the countryside, with local suppliers, close community ties and beautiful surroundings. We are obsessed with quality and consistency for our food, venue and service. Our regularly changing menu is currently made up of upscale pub classics alongside a more refined offering for our 80 cover dining area.

This Role Includes

We offer you the opportunity to learn new skills from an established team, these are to include but are not limited to:

· Traditional cooking techniques

· Whole animal butchery and fishmongery

· Smoking, brining, pickling & other preservation methods

· Pastry, breads and dairy production

We ask for 48 hours of your time per week. Driving is essential due to location. Must be eligible to work in the UK.

You ideally need a minimum of 1 years cooking experience at a high level of quality in a busy kitchen, however we are open to a keen individual with no experience who is willing to learn new skills. You are clean, well organised, friendly and approachable.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience & the suitable position.
