Overview
The Real Junk Food Project Brighton was founded with a mission to combat food waste and address hunger and environmental concerns.
The project runs cafes in three locations across Brighton where they turn surplus food into healthy meals which are offered to the community on a Pay As You Feel basis to make them affordable for all.
However, this payment by donation model does not pay all the bills and so the project also undertakes event catering to raise much-needed funds. These events can range from corporate lunches to weddings and gives an opportunity to showcase what can be created using food that would otherwise go to waste.
