Tide Seafood Kitchen is looking for an experienced part-time chef to join our team, as we get ready to kick start our Spring/Summer season!

At Tide we pride ourselves on creating the best seafood street food available in the city, specialising in southern fried fish and shellfish with a Cajun influenced twist.

As the demand for our takeaway has rocketed in the last month, we are now seeking a forward thinking and unique chef to come on board.

Skills Required

Experience to CDP level is essential and someone with a passion for seafood is certainly favoured. If you have previously worked in the street food sector that is also a bonus!

You will be required to manage at least one section of the kitchen, which includes the control of your prep and orders, whilst communicating clearly with the rest of our team.

The ideal candidate must stay calm and focused under pressure and have the ability to work fast and efficiently, whilst keeping up to the high standards set by our Head Chef. Joining the team now in its early stages will allow you to gain experience in what we do and also bring your knowledge to us. We are always looking out for creative ideas for our menu!

Your role will consist of one prep day/evening, where you will be working mainly alone, then 2 service shifts on a Friday and Saturday.

In the future our aim is to not only be Brighton’s leading seafood takeaway, but to continue to grow in the form of pop up events, a street food truck and outside catering.

Whilst this is currently a part time position we are expanding at a rapid rate, so for the right candidate we are confident there will be the opportunity to work extra hours with Tide, or as part of our sister cafe ‘Lost In The Lanes’.
