The bar is a service bar for the restaurant as well as an independent bar offering exquisite drink options. Open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week, private dining room to host events, masterclasses and private functions, The Salt Room offers a hugely creative environment for a dynamic bar team.

 

This Role Includes

The Salt Room is currently looking for a creative, energetic, self-motivated and experienced bar tender to join the team and continue delivering the outstanding reputation the business has spent the last few years developing.

As a Head Bartender in Brighton you will need to have a great love and knowledge for classic and contemporary cocktails and drinking culture, but most importantly will be passionate about providing great service and looking after our guests.

A big smile, well presented and impeccable manners are mandatory. You will have 1-3 years experience working in cocktail bars and be looking for a new challenge.

We expect our bartenders to have an excellent command of the English language and naturally to have all the requirements to work in the UK. A love of food, craft beer and wine is a huge plus.

You will deliver efficient beverage service that adds to a superior guest experience and is in accordance with licensing regulations associated with alcoholic beverages.

Responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Maintain an effective bar service with an emphasis on high quality, efficient service.

• Comply with licensing regulations and hotel procedures relating to the bar and service of alcoholic beverages and conduct staff training sessions accordingly

• Demonstrate a good knowledge of all beverages served in the bar, how beverages are prepared (to recipe) and presented and open to additional training.

• Ensure compliance with all Company Health and Safety, and Fire Regulations and procedures are understanding and applied

• Check that Guest service standards are set, implemented and monitored, and continuously evaluated

• Complete all necessary administration and tasks in accordance with company procedures relating to shift service

• Maximise revenue and increase average spend per person through upselling, high customer service standards, effective training and motivational techniques

 

Skills Required

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

• Customer Service experience. Excellent communication and personal presentation.

•  An ability to listen and respond to demanding Guest needs

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team player and willing to learn from each other and add to the bar offering.

• Accountable and resilient. Committed to delivering elevated levels of customer service

• Ability to work under pressure. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
