Overview
Morley’s Bistro is a small but busy bistro located in the pretty Sussex village of Hurstpierpoint.
We are looking for a sous chef to join our small, friendly kitchen team
This Role Includes
As sous chef, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen alongside our Head Chef & also independently.
As well as maintaining standards in the kitchen, you will be a mentor and trainer to the more junior members of the team.
You will also have input in the design of our seasonal menus & daily changing specials.
Skills Required
All of our dishes are made from scratch in our kitchen so experience working with fresh produce is essential.
You will have good time management and communication skills.
Additional Information
In return we offer a good work/life balance as we are closed on Sunday evenings & Mondays (including bank holidays). You will work 40-48 hours a week including a mixture of split & straight shifts.
In addition to an hourly rate, we have a generous tip scheme which is paid in addition, according to hours worked.
Due to our village location, your own transport is essential and free parking is available in a public car park just opposite the bistro
