Thank you to everyone who joined us at Terra this week for our Climate & Nature Friendly Plate workshop.
We brought together a brilliant mix of people – chefs, restaurant owners, suppliers and the team from Brighton & Hove Food Partnership – for a relaxed, practical conversation about how a Climate & Nature Friendly Plate could work across Brighton, Hove and Sussex.

It’s always great to see how ready the hospitality community is to share ideas, compare approaches, and think honestly about what’s realistic for busy kitchens. The mix of voices in the room made the discussion especially useful, and it’s clear there’s a lot of shared passion for seasonal food, local stories and doing things in a way that feels grounded rather than idealistic.
The feedback gathered on the day will help refine the draft framework and we used the time to generate ideas for campaigns and campaign elements that can work.

For now, a big thank you to those who sent their thoughts along before the workshop, everyone who came along and contributed their thoughts, and helped move the idea forward. Brighton’s food community always shows up in the best possible way.
