The BRAVOS are back for 2026 — and yes, it’s nearly that time again already. Every year thousands of Brighton & Sussex locals vote for their favourite restaurants, pubs, cafés and bars, celebrating the brilliant hospitality community that keeps our city buzzing.
We’re excited to share the key dates for BRAVOS 2026, along with a few things venues can start thinking about now.
BRAVOS 2026 – Key Dates
-
3 February – Nominations (not votes) go live
-
4 February – BRAVO Launch Party (save the date – details coming in the new year)
-
10 February – Voting opens
-
10 March – Voting closes
-
31 March – Winners announced
What to expect this year
We’re keeping the BRAVOS exactly as you know them:
-
celebrating Brighton & Sussex hospitality
-
encouraging locals to vote for the places they love
-
giving venues something positive to share with their teams and guests
Over the coming weeks you’ll see:
Plenty of notice
Clear timelines, reminders and updates with enough lead-in to be helpful rather than stressful.
Simple, ready-to-use assets
As usual, we’ll supply graphics, wording and links for your channels — and if there’s anything specific you’d love us to create this year, just let us know.
A quick note on the website
We’re currently updating the BRAVO site for 2026, so you may still see 2025 in places until early January. That’s completely normal while we switch everything over.
Three things venues can do now
1. Check we know about you
Use the little search icon (top right) on the BRAVO website.
If your venue appears — great, you’re in our system.
If not, just send us a quick email along with a photo of your venue’s exterior and we’ll get you added.
2. Think about your BRAVO promotional material
We’ll be updating the assets here:
https://brightonrestaurantawards.co.uk/promotional-material/
And we’re thrilled to be collaborating once again with the wonderful local artist Kirsti Davidson, who is creating a brand-new Brighton landmark illustration for this year’s BRAVOS. You’ll start to see it early in the new year.
3. Complete the Sustainability Checklist
To be considered for the Sustainability category, venues will need to complete the Restaurants Brighton Sustainability Checklist — a practical tool designed to help you think about your environmental impact and future improvements.
You can find more about the toolkit on the site.
Keep your team in the loop
If there are people at your venue who should receive BRAVO updates — managers, marketing, events, chefs, owners — now is a good time to make sure they’re on the list. The more connected your team is, the easier and more enjoyable the BRAVOS become. Simply sign them up here.
Thank you, as always, for being part of Brighton’s hospitality community.
The BRAVOS simply wouldn’t exist without you, and we can’t wait to celebrate everything you do in 2026.
