The 2023 BRAVOs start on 2nd February and voting runs for six weeks.

Winners will be announced a couple of weeks later at the start of April.  All voting is done through the BRAVOs website, where you can vote for as many or as few categories as you want, with only one vote for each category.

The Winner of each category will receive an iconic BRAVO wooden trophy while the top 20 will be placed and listed on the winners’ page.

BRAVO Voting Prizes and Giveaways

During the six week voting period, we will be running  prize giveaways through the BRAVO social media channels Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. These will include prizes donated by category sponsors. At the end of the competition, one member of the voting public will be randomly selected to receive £200 to spend at a venue of their choice.

Thank you from previous winners

Four time winner Tony Marks, owner of Starfish and Coffee said:

I’m absolutely gobsmacked to have won the Best Brunch award again. We’re only a small cafe, on a street with very little footfall, so to have won four BRAVOs in a row is just incredible. We love our little spot on the corner of Queens Park and Hanover and our customers really are the best in Brighton!

Sarah Cotton, Smorl’s Cafe in the Open Market said:

We are delighted to have been voted into this category (eat well for less winner) as it is so close to our hearts: providing people with good healthy, tasty and nutritious, wholesome food affordably is at the core of the Smorl’s ethos.

From further afield in Worthing, Kenny Tutt, Pitch said:

It really is an honour to receive the BRAVO Sussex Finest award. There are some fine restaurants in Sussex and it pays testament to all the hard work of the Pitch team. We really want to thank everyone that took the time to vote for us and visit our restaurant and we look forward to seeing you all in the future!

Max Aben, The Roundhill said:

Being voted first in the Plant Champions category is a huge win! Brighton is often voted one of the best places in the world for vegan food and we are so proud to be at the forefront of this! Adam Eynon our head chef and Lucy May our front of house manager have worked so hard over this difficult year and they and their teams deserve this award greatly!
