The Earth and Stars Brighton – An eco-friendly pub
The Earth and Stars is a cosy, bustling little pub at the entrance to Brighton’s North Laine. The Brighton pub boasts an in-house, entirely plant-based kitchen which serves up pub classics, with a menu that changes with the season and focuses on home-made food. Vinyl is the primary source of music, and the pub regularly works with local music outfits (including labels, promoters, record shops) to curate a list of records that are played throughout the month. With DJs every Saturday night, the bonkers Pub Queerz pub quiz, craft nights and much more, The Earth and Stars is growing into an energetic community hub.

It all starts like a joke, “a vegan, a vegetarian, a coeliac and carnivore all walk into a bar”, never the less this is common scenario and Earth and Stars is a great one for all bases. Always a good selection of three veggie/ vegan Sunday roasts (the difference is with or without a Yorkshire pudding and FYI there’s some great vegan Yorkshire recipes out there on that interweb) as well as meat selections from organic farms. Book well in advance for a Sunday roast and don’t expect to be able to while away the hours drinking and digesting, it’s popular, you’ll have to move on.
Reputable, award winning and consistently good
The food at The Earth & Stars will having you planning your next visit! I loved the vegan ‘fish & chips’, and their Sunday roasts are delicious. Both meat & plenty of vegan options at the Earth & Stars, so something for everyone.
