Bonfire Night and Firework Displays in Brighton and Sussex

Brighton Bonfires & Fireworks 2025: Where to Watch, What to Expect, and How to Make a Night of It

As autumn sweeps across Brighton, Hove and Sussex, the night skies come alive with dazzling fireworks, glowing bonfires, and the crackle of celebration. From torchlit processions in historic Lewes to family-friendly displays by the sea, Sussex has some of the most atmospheric Bonfire Night events in the country.

Kick things off early on Saturday 18 October with traditional torchlight parades in Seaford, Hailsham, and Hastings, or head to Nevill Juvenile Bonfire Society in Lewes for a family-friendly procession. The following weekend, Firle and Littlehampton bring village charm and riverside sparkle, while the Ardingly Fireworks Spectacular offers a big-scale show complete with food stalls and fairground rides.

Closer to home, Brighton’s neighbouring Hove Fireworks Night at the County Ground (2 November) promises one of the city’s biggest professional displays — perfect for families and friends. And of course, no guide would be complete without mentioning Lewes Bonfire Night on 5 November — the legendary Sussex spectacle with its fiery processions, grand bonfires, and city-wide celebrations.

Throughout November, the glow continues in Ditchling, Cuckfield, and Worthing, where seafront fireworks light up the coast, and even into late November with the Glynde Memorial Parade and Goodwood’s luxury bonfire night experience.

Whether you’re after a grand display, a family evening out, or a taste of Sussex tradition, Brighton and its neighbours promise unforgettable nights under the autumn sky.
