Small Batch Coffee Norfolk Square
The popular Small Batch coffee shops have become as iconic as the Royal Pavilion from whence it derives its logo. Now caffeine fans can graze for longer with Small Batch Norfolk Square introducing a state of the art kitchen.
Small Batch Norfolk Square is the first of the Brighton-born group to introduce its own kitchen, bringing a fresh and seasonal breakfast, brunch and lunch offering into their mix.
Brunch at Small Batch Coffee
The team at Small Batch now add cheffing to their already renowned barista skill set with freshly prepared, made to order, brunches served daily until 4 pm. The offering ranges from the simple day-to-day bites to grab with a coffee, including fresh and locally made pastries, though to more occasion brunch meals. The menu will include indulgent treats, such as brioche French toast served with compote and yoghurt, to healthy and wholesome dishes like the vegan Buddha bowl.
Small Batch is well known not just for good coffee but for coffee that does good too. Small Batch work closely with their suppliers, visiting farmers and growers in Africa, Asia and Central and South America building strong relationships and paying well over the Fair Trade price for beans.
Here in Brighton, Small Batch give 50p from every ‘Brunch of Champions’ sale to BRAVO 2019 Good Food For Less winner, The Real Junk Food Project. The Real Junk Food Project tackles food wastage by intercepting perfectly good food destined to be binned and serving it at pop-up cafes on a ‘pay as you feel’ basis, so also addressing issues of food poverty. Small Batch staff are also able to spend paid days volunteering with the project.
Small Batch Norfolk Square Lunch
Salads to take away or eat in are also served at lunchtime, these are hand made in small batches, in keeping with the coffee chain’s roasting policy, to ensure freshness and quality and reduce wastage.
