Vegan Seitan “Lamb” masterclass – The Roundhill Brighton
Having just turned one, we thought it was about time for a masterclass with The Roundhill Pub. Their pure plant-based menu has gone down a storm since opening and we love them for the friendly vibes and welcoming atmosphere. Popular at The Roundhill are the seitan dishes (a meat substitute made with gluten) which simulate the texture and flavour of traditional meat dishes but without the actual meat. Seitan is increasingly popular as a ‘gateway’ for new vegans or people trying to cut down their meat consumption as well as being enjoyed by veteran vegans who may miss the experience of meat but not the environmental or ethical implications.

It isn’t just the delicious food that ticks the animal loving boxes at The Roundhill. The beer offerings, the wine list, and the full drinks menu is also vegan with some brilliant choices too. We love visiting for a pint after work, preferably something from Gun Brewery enjoyed alongside their BBQ cauliflower wings. The brunch is also not to be missed, served on Friday and Saturday mornings from 10.30 am – 1 pm.
