Mange Tout amour!
Mange Tout has established itself on the Brighton dining scene as a location for social brunches, low intervention wines and an ingredient-led menu of French-inspired dishes. Drizzle over this excellent offering a soupcon of rustic chic and a passionate team and you have the Mange Tout recipe.
But there’s more to this bijou North Laine bistro than meets the eye, here are some things we think you should know.
Mange Tout can cater for your event. If you’re planning a celebration that you wish to infuse with rustic French charm then get in touch with Mange Tout team. Cooked off-site using local ingredients and delivered to you by electric scooter, you can raise a glass to your low carbon footprint while you’re celebrating.
While glass is readily recyclable it still uses energy and resources to do so. The Mange Tout wine refill means you can use and reuse your wine bottle (or pick up one from them for a small deposit). They offer a quality red, white and rosé, all of which are organic, low intervention and delicious.
Supporting local is important, especially now. Mange Tout uses local quality suppliers who they trust through relationships built up over the years. It means the passion and love in the food you eat goes right back to the source. And by supporting Mange Tout by eating their yummy food you are also supporting local farmers and producers.
Mange Tout is well established as a spot for a lazy social brunch, but times have changed and how we do things have had to change too. The takeaway brunch from Mange Tout is available, either pop in or phone ahead to place your order and make it an early picnic with your brunch besties. You can still eat in or take advantage of their streetside seating for some prime people-watching.
Eat Out to Help Out
Enjoy Mange Tout for less during August as they’ll be taking part in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. Get 50% off your order Monday to Wednesday up to £10 per person excluding alcoholic drinks. You don’t need a voucher or code to take advantage of the offer and you can use it as many times as you want.
Mange Tout has always been about quality produce, prepared with skill, so that the inherent goodness can shine through. By keeping things simple they can focus on making a menu that is small but perfectly formed, which also reduces wastage.
Mange Tout supports local makers in more than just the food and beverage industry, offering up their walls up to local artists. With plenty of natural light and neutral tones, the bistro lends itself well to being a gallery space. With the artwork display changing every five weeks, there’s a feast for your eyes as well as your mouths.
Nibbles and drinks (3.00 - 6.00 pm)
How we drink and dine out has changed, and may not go back to normal for a long time, but in Brighton, that’s okay since Brighton was never normal anyway. One way to avoid overcrowding while still supporting local businesses is to march to the beat of a different drum. Make Wednesday your new Friday or make your social event a more Mediterranean nibbles and drinks type affair and at a more continental time.
