Queen of vegetarian Indian cuisine, kitchen boss lady at Manju’s Brighton and an overall joy to be around. Meet Manju, who in her 80s finally had the opportunity to open the restaurant she had always wanted. We chat to Manju about everything from arriving as a refugee in the UK, growing up cooking, and finally realising her dream.
Authentic Indian cuisine
Manju creates dishes with the flavours from Gujarat. Her completely vegetarian menu features delicious thalis, sharing plates and side dishes playing with street food classics to traditional gems. The menu is great for vegans too, as well as those with allergies including gluten and dairy. Manju’s is open Tuesday-Saturday for lunch and dinner.
