Why You’ll Love Tavola di Famiglia in Worthing

Just a stone’s throw from the stunning Worthing seaside, Tavola di Famiglia is an Italian restaurant where tradition, warmth, and flavour come together. Inspired by the Amalfi Coast and built on family values, Tavola di Famiglia invites guests to take a seat at the family table and enjoy comforting, authentic Italian food in a welcoming, nostalgic setting.

The Heart of Tavola Di Famiglia Worthing

Tavola di Famiglia is the vision of brothers Jamie and Sam Haworth, Worthing locals who left professional careers in London to return home and create something meaningful. With Jamie’s background in hospitality and Sam’s in finance, they’ve built more than just a restaurant, they’ve built a place that honours their Italian heritage and celebrates community, culture, and connection.

The name means “Family Table,” and that’s exactly what you can expect: a place where everyone is welcome, from big family groups to couples looking for a cosy meal. Whether you’re sitting in the airy indoor space or soaking up the sunshine outdoors, the atmosphere is laid-back, heartfelt, and full of soul.

A Menu Full of Comfort and Craft

Tavola di Famiglia is known for their use of locally sourced produce and thoughtfully imported Italian ingredients. The menu is packed with classic Italian favourites done beautifully, with options for every taste and dietary need.

  • Antipasti like burrata with datterini tomatoes, or crispy arancini filled with mozzarella and basil
  • Handmade pasta dishes including Truffle & Porcini Mushroom tagliatelle, slow-cooked Cornish Beef Brisket Ragu, and the crowd-favourite Tonarelli alla Carbonara
  • Seafood lovers can tuck into their Sardinian Porcetto or Sicilian Fish Stew
  • Pizzas range from classic Margherita to rich combinations like the Pizza Calabria topped with nduja, mozzarella and salami
  • Contorni like wild spinach, roasted garlic potatoes, and tenderstem broccoli round out your plate

And don’t miss dessert: Pizzetta Con Gelato, Nutella ice cream sandwiches, and traditional Amalfi lemon cheesecake will keep you coming back for more.

A Loyal and Passionate Team

Although Tavola di Famiglia is a new name on the Worthing dining scene, it carries with it a rich legacy. Formerly known as Casa Ciro, the restaurant underwent a thoughtful refurbishment and rebrand in 2025, evolving into the warm, welcoming space it is today. What hasn’t changed is the heart of the operation – the team.

Head Chef Kieran James has led the kitchen for 16 years, while Restaurant Manager Chris Watts and Sous Chef Scott Allen have dedicated 19 and 20 years respectively to the venue. Front of house is overseen by Martina Kokesova, who brings 14 years of care and hospitality. Together, this long-standing team ensures that Tavola di Famiglia continues to offer the same passion, warmth and dedication to great food and service that locals have loved for years.
