BRAVO award winners for
Best international cuisine
Best international cuisine
Deciding on the Best International Cuisine available in Brighton is a big ask. Our amazing city is richly diverse and, on any night of the week, you can tour the world through your stomach. And the winner of the BRAVO for Best International Cuisine goes to – Kitgum Kitchen. Huge congratulations to the team.
First place
In many ways Kitgum’s menu is the definition of international cuisine so it makes total sense to find it in the top spot for this BRAVO category. Inspired by the owner’s family history, it features East African-Gujarati fusion for its Brighton-based clientele. The result is a riotous flavour experience unparalleled in our little corner of the world. Just off the beaten track, Kitgum’s unpretentious Preston Circus premises welcome its culinary fans with real warmth and enthusiasm. We all can’t wait to go back and neither can you. BRAVO Kitgum Kitchen.
Second place
Showcasing the authentic flavours of the sparkling Aegean and offering genuine Greek hospitality, you’d be forgiven for allowing yourself to imagine you’re on holiday. At least for an hour or two! The magic of this light-filled Hove eatery finds it in second place for Best International Cuisine for a second year in a row. You’ve also marked it out as BRAVOs #1 Best for the Family so it’s safe to say that Nostos is a big favourite round here.
Third place
Back in the top three again is Preston Street’s excellent Greek restaurant Adelfia. The Aftentakis brothers were serving up food in their father’s restaurant in their teens and they opened their own restaurant six years ago. It’s marvellously authentic and the food is just delicious with classics like moussaka, kleftiko and souvlaki alongside generous and unmissable plates of mezze and great vegetarian options.
