Learn, cook and eat with Brighton Cookery School

Brighton Cookery School is an innovative and creative cookery school located in the very heart of Brighton. Their philosophy is for you to learn, cook and eat in a professional and relaxed environment, whilst you have fun with friends, loved ones or colleagues.

Since 2013 they have also been working with many prestigious local schools to provide their School Enrichment Programmes – designed to give students a solid foundation in the understanding of food and learning how to prepare meals from scratch.

Open classes

Brighton Cookery School offers a range of cookery classes throughout the year from Pasta Perfection to Macaron Masterclasses, french cuisine and much more. The classes are open to the public and aim to teach guests basic but fundamental skills and knowledge when cooking different cuisines. Each class lasts a minimum of two hours, is professionally taught and ingredients and equipment are all included.

Guests can also expect to enjoy the food they have cooked up together with the other class members at the communal dinner to finish the evening, served with a complimentary glass of wine at selected classes.

Alongside the open classes, Brighton Cookery School also run seasonal events and celebrity chef sessions.

Private sessions

Brighton Cookery School also provides fun, uncomplicated and professional cooking lessons, combined with a relaxed social atmosphere where you can drink, chat and maybe learn a thing or two as well. They are pros at hosting private events, from corporate team building days to hen parties – you will have exclusive use of our workshop, chefs and dining area allowing you to make the most of your session.

A range of different options are available, designed to suit you but we are always very happy to discuss bespoke packages and adapt elements to work within your budget. A popular choice for team building is the Brighton Bake Off, which sees guests split into teams and compete against each other for the title of the best bake.

Bubbly and canapés are served on arrival, with free flowing beer and wine served throughout the evening.

To finish, a two-course meal is served and all the goodies you bake are boxed up to take away.

Outside Catering

The team of chefs and catering staff at Brighton Cookery School are available for all your outside catering needs – be it a celebratory BBQ, finger buffet, or even a hog roast on your wedding day! They have a range of delicious menus for you to choose from as well as offering flexibility to design bespoke menus to suit you.

Private hire

Brighton Cookery School is available for private hire. Whether you’re looking for food-based premises to launch your new product, or you need a prep kitchen for a private catering event of your own, Brighton Cookery School have a flexible approach to venue hire and all the logistics involved! Our central location, just 8 minutes walk from Brighton rail station, is ideal for those travelling from London and the surrounding areas.

Kids parties/school workshops

Brighton Cookery School has a passion for food and believes anyone can learn to cook and appreciate fresh, fine food. Their children’s cooking parties are a fun and informative way to get your kids and their pals thinking about cookery, ingredients and getting involved in family meals. All sessions are followed up with recipe cards so the little chefs have the confidence to recreate the dishes once they return home.
