The Kemptown Klub

Why You’ll Love The Kemptown Klub

Behind an unassuming door in the heart of Kemptown Village lies the lively and alternative world of Kemptown Klub.

A private members club for the over 25s, Kemptown Klub is one of Brighton’s best kept secrets, nothing to see from the outside but so much going on through that door. And management is always open to applications from new members!

Owners Rachel and Peter are rightly proud of the friendly and inclusive atmosphere they’ve created. Everyone is welcome, regulars are known and know each other; this is a  neighbourhood bar – the CHEERS of Kemptown. Norm!!!

What to expect at the Kemptown Klub

The space sits over two floors, with nooks and comfy spots on each. The recent downstairs makeover capitalises on cosiness and is themed as The Bothy. Hailing back to Peter’s Scottish roots this tartan clad cavern has all the home comforts you need to sup your drinks and catch up with friends.

Upstairs you’ll find more comfy corners or choose a perch at the bar where you are guaranteed a good drink and a good chat. There is Kemptown Klub beer on tap, cider, wine and an array of hand-crafted cocktails to choose from, including the famous Kemptown Klub frozen Daiquiri…

A margarita cocktail with two people speaking to each other at the bar.

The Kemptown Klub have carefully curated fun events that will keep you entertained every day of the week – yes you can go for a nice quiet drink, but why not partake in Bridge Club, Bingo, Quiz Night, Musical singalongs or just simple Wine Day Wednesday where you buy two glasses and get the rest of the bottle free. Rachel and Peter are the hosts with the most, welcoming, fun, charming and chatty – you will be welcome with open arms.
