Why You’ll like The Greenhouse Kitchen in Hove
A new opening in spring 2026, The Greenhouse has quickly become one of Hove’s most talked-about new openings. A restaurant set in central Hove, this spacious, light-filled venue blends relaxed daytime dining with bold, flavour-led food in the evening, creating a place that works from morning through to night.

Hove’s newest hotspot
There’s a sense of anticipation that’s carried through into the space itself. It feels fresh, welcoming, and designed to be enjoyed slowly, whether you’re stopping in for a coffee in Hove or settling in for an evening with friends.
A sunny terrace made for lingering
One of The Greenhouse’s standout features is its south-facing terrace, a real suntrap and a rare find in central Hove. On brighter days, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to settle into for hours, with coffee in the morning or a glass of wine as the day winds down.
The outside space adds to the overall feel of the venue. It’s open, airy, and relaxed, giving it that slightly escapist quality, a little pocket of calm just off the busier streets.

Daytime dining and proper coffee
By day, The Greenhouse leans into a café-style offering, with a focus on good coffee and well-executed classics.
One of the highlights is the Reuben sandwich, a proper, satisfying version of the classic and their sandwich menue rotates daily. Think layers of tender salt beef, tangy sauerkraut, melted cheese, and a punchy dressing, all pressed between toasted bread. It’s rich, comforting, and exactly what you want from a dish like this.
Alongside that, you’ll find a selection of fresh, simple plates and lighter options, available throughout the day and perfect for anything from a quick stop to a more relaxed, leisurely Hove lunch. This is complemented by incredible Swedish baked goods from Fika, including their signature cinnamon buns.
The Greenhouse Evenings powered by bold flavours
As the day moves into evening, the energy shifts. The Greenhouse Kitchen, powered by Orange Buffalo, takes over with a menu built around bold, sauce-led chicken dishes and indulgent comfort food.

Crispy buttermilk chicken wings are a centrepiece, served with a choice of standout sauces. The “Woof Woof” brings serious heat, while “K Town” leans into umami with gochujang, soy, and sesame. For something sweeter, the Pineapple Hot Honey offers a sticky, chilli-laced glaze with a tropical edge.
The chicken burgers follow the same flavour-first approach. The OB Classico layers blue cheese, pickles, and signature glaze into a rich, satisfying build, while the Hot Honey Pineapple burger delivers a balance of sweetness, spice, and crunch. The Gravy Dip takes things in a more indulgent direction, pairing crispy chicken with a rich gravy dip and stuffing mayo.

There’s also a strong vegan option, with a crispy plant-based burger that holds its own alongside the rest of the menu.
Loaded curly fries round things out, topped with combinations like blue cheese and pickles, chicken gravy and crispy onions, or sesame and spice in the K-Town style.
Drinks, atmosphere, and evenings that stretch on
As the evening settles in, The Greenhouse becomes a place to linger. A selection of beers and wines complements the menu, making it just as suited to casual drinks as it is to a full meal.
The atmosphere strikes a balance between lively and relaxed, somewhere you can drop in spontaneously or plan an evening around.

A place to return to
The Greenhouse feels like one of those venues that quickly becomes part of your routine. Coffee on a sunny terrace, a long lunch with friends, or bold, flavour-packed food in the evening, it all fits together naturally.
For a venue that’s only just opened, it already feels like it belongs. A fresh addition to Hove, and one that’s very much worth knowing about.
