Brighton, Hove… and a Growing Sussex Scene
While Brighton and Hove remain at the heart of the BRAVOs, 2026 clearly shows a shift.
The wider Sussex food scene is thriving, and Worthing in particular is emerging as a serious foodie destination, with noticeable improvements in quality, creativity and recognition.
From countryside pubs to coastal dining spots, the BRAVOs now reflect a more connected, Sussex-wide food culture.

The Class of Every Year
Alongside new winners, there’s something special about the venues that continue to show up year after year — the ones locals return to, recommend, and vote for time and time again.
These include: terre à terre, Burnt Orange, Fatto a Mano, La Choza, Casazul, Starfish & Coffee, Oeuf Café, Moksha, Crabshack, Flour Pot Bakery and many more.

These are more than winners. They represent consistency, trust, and long-term connection with their customers.

What Winning a BRAVO Means
The impact of the BRAVOs is felt deeply across the industry.
Amanda at terre à terre shared:
“An award chosen by the public is especially meaningful; it reminds us why we open the doors every day.”
The Signalman, winners of Best Brighton and Hove Pub, captured the community spirit:
“A home from home for everyone… we’re so grateful that this has resonated with people.”

And from Fatto a Mano, Best Value winners:
“Quality and affordability have always been at the heart of what we do.”
These aren’t just awards — they’re recognition from the people who matter most: the customers.

Why the BRAVOs Matter More Than Ever
Now in their tenth year, the BRAVOs remain entirely public-voted.
No critics. No panels. Just real people supporting the places they love.

In a challenging climate for hospitality, that support is more than recognition — it’s a lifeline.
The BRAVOs drive footfall, build visibility, and remind teams across Brighton and Sussex that their work matters.
