Carlito Burrito: Brighton’s Authentic Mexican Fiesta
Carlito Burrito is Brighton’s first Mexican-owned restaurant and an award-winning purveyor of authentic street food culture. Located centrally at 12 York Place near the bustling North Laine and London Road area, tCarlito Burrito Brighton is far more than a casual eatery; it’s a dedicated expression of genuine Mexican hospitality.

The Brighton restaurant was born in the spring of 2010 through a partnership between Carlito Riesta, a seasoned manager of award-winning and Michelin-starred venues, and Andrew Barlow, co-founder of the band Lamb and a significant food enthusiast. The concept began with a festival van and pop-up stalls, blending Riesta’s authentic family recipes and expertise with Barlow’s passion for food, ensuring a unique flavour experience rooted in traditional cooking methods and the finest Sussex produce.
