Congratulations to this year’s BRAVO winner – Flour Pot Bakery – and to all the fantastic cafés and bakeries shortlisted in 2025. Treat yourself today – then why not do it again tomorrow?!
First place - Best Brews and bakes
Winner of Brews and Bakes, our new category for BRAVOS 2025, is Flour Pot Bakery! Congratulations to the team. This small local chain of friendly cafés and artisan bakeries handmakes its sweet treats daily, using top-quality ingredients and skill. The result? Pure class. Add to that coffee made with locally roasted beans from their sister company, The Milk Shed, and you’ve got the essence of Brews and Bakes right there.
Flour Pot Bakery also won #3 Best Cafe #7 Most Family Friendly #19 Best Team
Second place
New for 2025, Bayon Bakery comes from the people behind #1 Best Brunch Oeuf Café, and they clearly know what they’re doing. We have it on good authority that some bona fide French patisserie training has been undertaken – and you can definitely taste it! Serving up buttery, French viennoiserie and dainty cakes alongside stong coffee, right next to Hove Station – Bayon bliss.
Bayon Bakery also won #17 Best Takeaway
Third place
Komodo Coffee
For some people, a damn good coffee is all the treat they ever need, and local buffs will be unsurprised to find Komodo Coffee at the top of the Brews and Bakes game. Tucked away in the heart of The Lanes, this chilled independent espresso and filter bar makes seriously good coffee for serious coffee drinkers. Enjoy the vibe, tunes, and seasonal in-house bakes.
