Novellino Brighton is a gorgeous, contemporary cafe-restaurant serving modern Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, Jewish staples and dishes from the Sephardic tradition alongside bistro classics. The only Kosher venue south of London, Novellino Brighton is a wonderful addition to the city’s hospitality offering, particularly for our local Jewish community and visitors who follow a Kosher lifestyle. The restaurant happily welcomes everyone to visit and ‘connect through food’. 

Guests are welcome all day; pop in for a quick coffee, a snack or a leisurely meal. You’ll enjoy the stylish interiors and, on sunny days, bask in the light streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows. There are pretty tables in the tranquil garden, perfect for alfresco dining. 

Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch at Novellino Brighton

The day starts with a glorious breakfast and brunch menu featuring Middle Eastern-style breakfast mezze platters, shakshuka, a rare Kosher Full English, and a variety of brunch classics like Eggs Benedict. There is also an extensive selection of delicious sandwiches like pulled salt beef with pickled cucumber or chicken with basil mayo. Freshly ground coffee, shakes, smoothies and pastries complete the picture.

The lunch menu offers a traditional chicken soup as well as light dishes like hummus and pitta, salads, burgers and sandwiches plus heartier options like chicken schnitzel with creamy mash. The menu is designed for busy people who want to eat well!

Evenings at Novellino Brighton

In the evening, Novellino Brighton’s vibe leans towards ‘lively bistro’ with its unique fusion menu. Start with your choice of mouthwatering mezze before exploring seasonal specials, incredible house burgers, stuffed Sabich Pita and fabulous dishes from the grill. 

All the menus offer excellent vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Everything is dairy-free (no dairy is served in accordance with Kosher tradition). 

Friday Night and Shabbat

Friday Night & Shabbat lunch are available for pre-bookings only (book before Wednesday). These specially curated meals are offered as packages and include a four-course Friday night dinner and a three-course buffet Shabbat Lunch with hot beverages, soft drinks and kiddush wine. A home from home, the Shabbat experience at Novellino Brighton is a truly special experience, offering delicious seasonal food and warm hospitality you can rely on.

Community and Sustainability at Novellino Brighton

The team behind Novellino operates several popular restaurants in London and are proud to bring Kosher food back to Brighton for the first time in years. Under the supervision of the Kosher London Beth Din (KLBD), the restaurant is part of a brand new community complex – BNJC – built to support the local Jewish community. There is also a thriving Kosher deli serving a wide range of Kosher supplies and Jewish staples.

The vision is to become an outstanding community venue for people of all backgrounds to come together and enjoy connection through food.

It is built to be flexible with adjoining event spaces, accommodation, gym, co-working space, nursery and the deli which work holistically alongside the restaurant.
