Six Hove

Celebrating a decade on Western Road, Six Restaurant Brighton is one of Hove's most enduringly loved dining destinations. Organic ingredients, outstanding brunch and a space that works beautifully for every occasion.

Why You’ll Like Six Restaurant Hove

Six Restaurant Hove sits on Western Road at the border of Brighton and Hove, occupying the former home of the well-regarded Hove Kitchen and The Good Food Club. This year marks a decade since Six first opened its doors, and in that time it has built a genuinely devoted following among locals who appreciate the combination of beautiful food, thoughtful sourcing and a space that manages to feel simultaneously relaxed and rather special.

The philosophy at Six is clear and consistent. Inspired by the abundance of European country fields, the kitchen is committed to using locally sourced, organic ingredients of the highest quality throughout. Vegetables arrive from Kent every morning. Seafood comes exclusively from ethical and sustainable suppliers. Poultry and beef are sourced from small holdings in Lancashire and Surrey, and the lamb is from the nearby Welsh mountains. The bread is baked in-house, the coffee is roasted on site, and that same care and attention runs through every corner of the menu.

The Brunch at Six Restaurant Brighton

Brunch is where Six truly shines and has earned its considerable reputation. Served daily from 9am until 3pm, it is one of the most celebrated breakfast and brunch experiences in the city. The menu is extensive and inventive, built around organic ingredients that elevate even the most familiar dishes into something worth getting up for.

Highlights include the Green Garden Croissant with smashed avocado, poached eggs, green leaf salad and Parmesan; whipped feta with poached eggs, avocado and Parmesan fritters on toasted sourdough; and the Chef’s Omelette with spinach, feta and cultured cream. For something more substantial, the Farmer’s Breakfast arrives with a Cumberland sausage ring, smoked bacon, sautéed mushrooms, rosemary potatoes, organic egg and hash browns on toasted sourdough, while the Pesca Breakfast layers smoked salmon and smoked mackerel with avocado, organic egg and hummus. Homemade organic pancakes with fresh berries and maple syrup, or banana and Nutella, provide a sweeter option that very few can resist.

The bottomless prosecco brunch is available every day including bank holidays from 10am to 3pm, with mimosas and prosecco with crème de cassis among the complimentary options. A full brunch cocktail list, including Bloody Mary, Espresso Martini and Passion Fruit Martini, rounds things off in style.

Evening Dining at Six Hove

From 4pm, Six Hove moves into a refined buffet-style evening concept, offering beautifully prepared dishes in an elegant, unhurried setting. Available on request for groups of six or more, it is a brilliant option for Sunday lunches, celebrations and private gatherings. The space has a number of different dining areas, from the relaxed brasserie to the more intimate and ambient dining room, making Six a genuinely versatile venue for any occasion.

A Restaurant for Everyone

Six Brighton welcomes everyone warmly. The menu carries a thoughtful plant-based health food section alongside the main offering, with gluten-free and vegan options clearly marked throughout. The south-facing aspect of the restaurant makes it a particularly inviting spot on a bright day, and the whole space has an ease and warmth to it that keeps people coming back. Whether you are dropping in solo for a midweek brunch, bringing the family for a weekend spread or planning a private event, Six Restaurant Hove delivers with real consistency and genuine character.

Six Restaurant Brighton is located at 102-104 Western Road, Brighton and Hove.

Went for a Sunday roast. The roasts here are not piled on your plate like most Sunday roasts are presented, here the portions are on the minimal side compared to others. That’s not to say you are left feeling hungry as the food is enough, tastes great and you have room for desert. The coffee tastes good and they have a selection of fresh veggie and fruit shots if you want to feel super healthy.
This place is perfect to meet up with friends and family on a Sunday afternoon have a coffee, followed by a great roast.

Really enjoy having brunch here, it’s a simple but nicely executed menu with options to have fresh juices and smoothies from the Bo section. Worth going on a sunny day when the doors are folded open and you can sit outside.
