Hello friends,
As the very wise Winnie the Pooh once said: “It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn’t use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words, like ‘What about lunch?’” So, without unnecessary verbosity we’re dishing up some of our favourite lunch deals to satiate and titillate (oops, sorry Pooh!) without parting with too much honey.
Join us in wishing a happy birthday to Winnie the Pooh, who turns 100 this year. The great folk at Trigger have created The Big One Hundred, with performances, events and workshops to help protect the OG Hundred Acre Wood, Ashdown Forest, for the next hundred years. And they’re touring Sussex!
Talking of honey, we indulge in the best sweet treats in town, celebrate the return of Furna, and don some blue jeans for a spot of Country music in the country. Cos mama didn’t raise no fool now did she.

Mowgli: New look, New Menu, Amazing Offers
Everyone’s favourite spicy, swing-seat establishment Mowgli Brighton relaunches on 28 August, following a stunning refurbishment. There’s a brighter daytime feel that shifts into the restaurant’s familiar warm, twinkly evening atmosphere, with new upholstered booths and a more prominent bar. To celebrate, Mowgli has created a Brighton-exclusive Fish and Chips, while the first 100 guests from midday on relaunch day get their meal for free. And if that wasn’t cool (hot?) enough, launch week offers 50% off dishes including Gunpowder Chicken, Yoghurt Chat Bombs, Aunty Geeta’s Prawn Curry and Mother Butter Chicken. Swing by!
Treats for the kids (and grown-ups, too)
We get it: a sugar rush might not be top of your wishlist four weeks into their summer holidays, but you never know, it might entertain them for a while. We’re lucky to have something of a grotto of sweet treat creators in the city because, let’s face it, we’re worth it. Here are a few of our favourites, and check out the full BRAVO Awards winners here!
