Brighton’s Ultimate Budget Dining Guide: 2026 BRAVO Award Winners
Looking for the best value in Brighton? Discover 20 top chea eats for 2026, where great food doesn’t mean cutting corners. You don’t have to compromise on quality; just enjoy brilliant dining at a price that works. Voted for by you, this category is all about the places serving big flavour, generous portions and properly good food at prices that still feel fair. Congratulations to this year’s BRAVO winner, Fatto a Mano.
First place
Authentic Neapolitan pizzas – with the occasional maverick twist – are cooked in huge clay ovens and served with a smile. The welcome here is the only thing friendlier than the price, which remains famously fair. Seasonal specials and reliably good favourites keep us coming back for another slice.
Second place
La Choza has made it its mission to bring big, bold, beautiful Mexican street food to the North Laine. With styling as bright as the flavours and generous portions too, it shows you can share something special at a sensible cheaper price. Exactly what Best Value should mean.
Third place
Nestled in the heart of Brighton Open Market, you’ll find Casazul. One of our Sustainability Champions again this year, Casazul is committed to zero-waste. The team serves up a taste of Mexico at a great price that doesn’t cost the earth! Authentic tacos, seasonal stews and mole, plus great vegetarian options and chaeper meal deals, make it a winner for the whole family.
Fourth place
MOGUMOGU
This year’s winner of Best International Cuisine is also seriously good value. The MOGUMOGU menu features Japanese comfort food prepared with real care and served in its small – but rather perfect – London Road café. Made to order, satisfyingly steaming and full of authentic flavour, it’s a classic case of if you know, you know. And if you don’t, you soon will.
FIFTH PLACE
This year’s Sustainability Champion intercepts food waste to create tasty, affordable food on a pay-as-you-feel basis. What could be fairer than that? With the goal of ‘feeding bellies not bins’, the team creates healthy meals and tasty treats that everyone can enjoy. Community, flavour and the environment are at the heart of it all..
