Groaning under the weight of trophies, this beloved Queen’s Park café pairs a relaxed neighbourhood feel with deliciously indulgent seasonal brunch dishes and damn good coffee. Family-friendly, dog-friendly, friendly-friendly and fun.

Queues are common for the irresistible fresh sourdough, pastries and cakes at this Brighton-born chain of artisan bakeries with bright, airy cafés attached. Coffee is roasted locally too by sister company The Milk Shed. Dine in or indulge in top takeaway treats like standout favourite Cinnamon and Orange Morning Buns.

No stranger to the BRAVOS, Oeuf Cafe remains one of the city’s most popular cafés. Pretty Parisian styling, beautifully presented breakfast and brunch dishes and a delightful ‘secret garden’ make it a social-media sensation. But it’s the quality of the cooking and lively vibe that keep it a Hove hotspot.

Newbie Pink Moon is an independent Brighton café-bar serving up something pretty special. Vinyl, dumplings and great coffee in the daytime, great drinks at night.
