And the winner of the BRAVO for Best for the Family goes to – Moksha. Huge congratulations to the team.
First place
From its home opposite St Peter’s Church on the edge of the North Laine, Moksha Caffe has been delighting Brighton families with its fresh, bright and, most importantly, super-delicious dishes since 2007. The light, spacious interiors are perfect for a relaxed time out with kids and the menu, which focuses on delivering excellent breakfast and brunch dishes, will appeal to just about everyone. As well as top-quality brunch classics there are stacks of fluffy American-style pancakes that (big) kids will adore plus there’s a thoughtful kids menu too. Just ask the welcoming team for crayons and colouring, books to read, baby change and toddler seats, high chairs and bottle warmers. These Best For The Family BRAVO winners have thought of everything. Nice one Moksha!

Second place
The epitome of Mediterranean hospitality, the whole family will be welcome and happy at Nostos. Grown-ups will enjoy the bright flavours of authentic yet contemporary Greek cuisine which is produced using top-quality, locally sourced ingredients. Little ones can choose from their own selection of tasty Greek-style dishes including Chicken Souvlaki, Monkfish with chips and tender stem broccoli and tasty pita pizzas while older kids will love exploring the delicious main menu. This light-flooded and spacious restaurant is family-run and ultimately family-friendly – a holiday vibe in the heart of Hove. Deep breath, big smiles – this is going to be a breeze!

Third place
It’s no surprise that this welcoming, family-run, community pub in Patcham is such a hit with families. Part of the Golden Lion Group, The Ladies Mile has a traditional, neighbourhood feel and families are given a warm welcome by the team. There’s plenty of space inside and you’ll find an enclosed play area in the garden. Little ones will be kept entertained for hours while you relax with a pint. What a dream! Families with older children will enjoy the pool table while waiting for some top-notch pub grub to arrive. The children’s menu covers all the bases with fish fingers, burgers, goujons, and pizza on offer so you’re very unlikely to hear any complaints. And there’s a delicious selection of tempting desserts to follow in case anyone’s got a sweet tooth…
