The BRAVOs stand for Brighton Restaurant Awards Vote Online. The awards are a democratic award, voted for by the people for the people. In 2026 71,285 votes were cast across 724 venues making the BRAVOS the biggest celebration of food and drink in the city. Running since 2016 the BRAVOS are now in their tenth year.
The Brighton Restaurant Awards Vote Online (BRAVOS) have smashed all previous records in 2026. With a whopping 71,285 votes cast by food lovers across the city and beyon.
Now in its tenth year, the BRAVOS have once again shone a spotlight on the incredible diversity and quality of Brighton and Sussex’s hospitality scene, with 724 venues participating across 18 categories, and 192 different venues placing in the Top 20s.
The 2026 winners have now been announced (31st March 2026), with terre à terre reclaiming the Best Brighton Restaurant crown and newcomer Andalucia gaining the top spot as Best Sussex Restaurant. See the full list of winners and link to the Top 20 in each category.
The next BRAVO Awards commence February 2027 when there will be 5 weeks of voting on the BRAVO website.

Voting for the BRAVO Awards Brighton begins each year at the end of January or the start of February, giving the public around five weeks to cast their votes.
The results are revealed online in April each year, with the Top 20 lists published for every category and a party to celebrate the winners and placed venues.
The awards are decided by the public. In 2026, an incredible 71,285 votes were cast by locals and visitors, making the BRAVOs Brighton’s largest food and drink awards.
Unlike other awards, the BRAVOs are completely chosen by the public — there are no critics, no panels, and no food reviewers, just genuine votes from diners.
Winning or placing in the BRAVOs elevates a venue’s reputation in Brighton’s food and drink scene. Many winners see a surge in customers, as everyone wants to try the restaurants, pubs, and cafés voted the best in the city.
Any venue in Brighton, Hove or Sussex can be nominated — from independent restaurants and pubs to cafés, bars, and takeaways.
The BRAVOs cover 18 categories in 2026 including Best Restaurant Brighton, Best Café, Best Pub, Best Brunch, Best Sunday Roast, Best International Cuisine, Best Lunch, and Sustainability Champions. Categories evolve each year to reflect the city’s dining trends.
At the end of each awards season, venues come together for the BRAVO Party, a lively celebration where winners and finalists toast Brighton’s thriving hospitality community.
The Top 20 lists in each category are published online, making them a year-round guide to the best restaurants, cafés, pubs and bars in Brighton, Hove and Sussex.
