Each year, Brighton hosts the BRAVO Awards, a public vote celebrating the city’s best restaurants, best pubs, and best cafés across 16 categories. In January 2025, the BRAVOs will return for their eighth year, where the public once again will choose their favourite venues.

We’re thrilled to welcome Poco Restaurant and Wine Bar in Alfriston to Restaurants Brighton this month! This charming venue offers an authentic taste of Italy with handmade pasta, sharing-style dishes, and a stunning selection of wines curated by owner Jamie, known as a “wine hunter.” With its warm atmosphere and focus on high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, this Sussex restaurant is a must-visit for foodies and wine lovers alike.
No. 34 Lewes offers a carefully curated menu that combines bold, seasonal flavours with a Mediterranean influence. Their dishes range from small plates perfect for sharing to larger, indulgent mains, all showcasing fresh, high-quality ingredients. Bayon Bakery is a charming new bakery behind Hove station, known for its artisan pastries and breads made fresh daily. At the 2024 BRAVOs (Brighton Restaurant Awards Vote Online) the public voted 72,000 times and here are the results for the best Brighton restaurant accolade.
Terre á Terre was voted the most popular restaurant in Brighton, with Burnt Orange 2nd and Cin Cin 3rd. Brighton fiercely supports the independent restaurant scene and is considered the vegan capital of the UK.
While Brighton and Hove restaurants still remain starless in 2024, there are some otherwise notable entries worth celebrating in Brighton in this years Michelin round-up.
These include etch. The Little Fish Market, Burnt Orange, Wild Flor and Tutto to name a few. Nearby Sussex restaurants with one Michelin Star include Restaurant Interlude, The Pass and Gravetye Manor.
