Perfect For Exploring South Downs
Located in Sayers Common in Hassocks, the 'Duke' as it is known, is perfect if you have time to explore the South Downs and it is actually positioned on the old London to Brighton road, a very busy road before the bypass was introduced.
Did you know that Sayers common is an area named after a local hero, one Tom Sayer, a well renowned bare knuckle fighter?
In terms of drinks, there are a wide range of local real ales in this true "free house."
