Brighton & Hove’s best international food brings global flavours to your doorstep any night of the week. Voted for by you, this category celebrates authentic dishes, bold ideas and a true taste of somewhere else. Congratulations to this year’s BRAVO winner, MOGUMOGU, and to all the fantastic venues shortlisted in 2026. Enjoy the journey!
First place
This cosy, unassuming Japanese cafe on London Road has won our hearts with its home-style comfort food. Steaming bowls of donburi and seasonal udon are freshly prepared with real care, showcasing authentic flavours that are hard to find. Don’t skip their famous jelly cat dessert.
MoguMogu also finished 5th in Brighton’s Best Lunch and 4th in Best Value.
Second place
Gracing The Lanes for almost half a century (congrats!), Il Bistro brings a taste of the Mediterranean to Brighton. Specialities include dry-aged steaks, fresh pasta, crispy arancini, grilled fish and one of the Best Wine Lists in the city. Locals love the Riviera vibe and keep coming back for more.
Il Bistro also finished 10th in Brighton’s Best Restaurant, 3rd in Best Wine List and 13th in Best Team.
Third place
A pioneer of modern Indian cuisine in Brighton & Hove, Indian Summer is a popular dining destination for the hungry curry crowd. The Indian restaurant serves flavourful, regional dishes perfect for sharing in a stylish dining room complete with street art and a reggae playlist. Fabulous cocktails created to complement the menu are a nice touch. Celebrating 25 years in 2026!
