Well known for its great locally sourced food and impressive selection of drinks, Busby and Wilds is a homely neighbourhood gastro pub, with a very sustainable attitude to hospitality. What is great about Busby and Wilds is their refreshing approach to delivery and their unique focus on what the customer wants.
Here you have a modern menu geared to what their customers like eating, with a selection of bar snacks to match. Dishes range from traditional British, modern French and classic pub with plenty of sides and sharers to choose from – all served in a spacious light environment. The decision to name the pub after the architects who built much of the Kemp Town estate and Sussex Square was designed to be a talking point – and it is – as well as a historical link to this part of Brighton.
Busby and Wilds will cater for most dietry requirements and can offer a small spacious table for two, as well as the large groups.

What’s on the menu?
Sample starter include; Cream of celeriac soup, apple & tarragon dressing & chunky bread – Slow roasted tomato, mozzarella & pesto salad – Chargrilled artichoke, pinenut, parmesan & wild garlic salad with white bean hummus – Ham hock terrine, pea & ham soup, carrot, radish & parsley salad & toast-Potted sussex crab, crab bisque, pickled fennel, apple puree & toast – Pork belly croquettes, anchovy aioli.
Main course dishes include:
Sirloin steak, herb & leaf salad & chips – Beef bourguignon, buttered mash & sauteed kale – Braised rabbit & pancetta fettuccine, pangrattato, pecorino, kale – Busby beef burger served with chips & coleslaw – Spicy bean burger served with chips & coleslaw – Potato & herb rosti, creamed spinach, soft poached egg with isle of mull cheddar – Whole baked brill, roast fennel, new potatoes with cider & caper butter – Busby fish & chips, tartar sauce & mushy peas
Busby and Wilds do a great traditional Sunday Roasts
Traditional homemade roasts are available each Sunday and usually include roast top side of Dexter British beef, slow roasted shoulder of Sussex lamb, roast Kentish hop pork belly and walnut, and a mixed nut vegetarian roast.
Burger nights are also a regular occurrence and very popular on a Tuesday night. Read their impressive burger feature which positions their burger offering as one of the top in Brighton. The burger promotion includes a drink and a burger for just £12.
Wednesday Night is also a special offer night with two main courses and a bottle of house wine for just £28 .
The Busby and Wilds drinks list consists of bottled beers, ciders and wines and includes rotating guest ales.
Busby and Wilds also offers a great outdoor space for alfresco drinking and dining, located to the rear of their building and includes their very own herb garden. The venue is children and dog friendly with water bowls and treats available for your four legged friend.
