Second place - Best lunch in brighton
A gorgeous, award-winning lunch spot, perfect for any day of the week, Lost in The Lanes serves mouthwatering plates of seasonal Mediterranean-inspired dishes made for sharing – or not. Expect a warm welcome, a stylish setting and a great daytime drinks list. Pop in for a quick bite or settle in for the long haul. Either way, you’re in for a great lunch.

Third place
The Flour Pot Bakery offers a stunning array of fresh sandwiches using the artisan bread they bake themselves. What could be better? Not much, clearly. Seriously tasty lunches in their bright, comfortable cafés, with coffee from The Milk Shed and an almost mandatory slice of cake. Go on, you know you want one.
2nd in Best Brighton and Hove Cafes, 2nd in Sweet Treats and 7th in Best Team.
Fourth place
Pretty much anyone is going to be happy with lunch at Foodilic, which is fresh, healthy and delicious. There are great options for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and halal diners, plus a great-value salad and hot dish deal or a multi-salad option. No wonder it remains a long-standing favourite with Brighton’s lunch crowd.
Also placed 12th in Best Brighton Brunch, 7th in Plant Champions, 8th in Sustainability Champions and 13th in International Cuisine.
FIFTH PLACE
The secret is out. Winner of this year’s BRAVO for Best International Cuisine, MOGUMOGU serves up Japanese home-style food for lunch and early dinner from its small but lovely London Road location. Think cosy donburi rice bowls and seasonal udon noodles made with real care. Don’t live nearby? Make the trip – an instant classic.
