Award winning Marwoods Brighton

Marwoods Brighton in The Lanes is the naughty child of Brighton’s coffee shops and bars, refusing to behave particularly well in either team.

Never the less, as winners of Most Brighton Venue in the BRAVO 2017 and 18 awards, this terrible tyke seems possessed with that endearing quality of spirit that has been saving bad boys and girls from the rod since the days of The Beano.

Eclectic and welcoming

The Beano reference is not out of place, the venue itself is a mash up of comic book wallpaper, eclectic memorabilia, toys, games and ‘appropriated’ signage.

Marwoods Brighton

A large yard area at the rear provides a nice little sun trap during the summer as well as a haven from the bustle of the street. Two rooms on the second floor are a great weekday haunt for freelancer types looking to stave off cabin fever (all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy) and are also available for hire.

Local Teas and Coffees

Whilst Marwoods Brighton may style themselves as the ne’re do wells of the city, when it comes to coffee their grades suddenly improve. Landing Top 3 in the BRAVO 2018 Best Coffee Category put them in the top of the class, and in Brighton thriving coffee scene that’s a very large class in deed. Coffee is supplied by local roaster, Pharmacie Coffee Roaster and teas from Blue Bird Tea Co.

During the day the bar is stacked high with a selection of naughty cakes and pastries and offers a good selection of light meals such as sandwiches, salads and soups, as you’d expect from award winning Most Brighton venue, the vegan, vegetarian and gluten free visiter will not need to go hungry.

The Marwood Brighton

All day opportunities to indulge your bad side

Cocktails and beers make up the final element of Marwoods Brighton with a seriously committed offering in both. Late night opening and an event calendar populated with ample opportunities to misbehave makes this a venue worth getting in trouble for.
